NEW FOR 2010

Increased stability in smaller sizes.

Increased skin tension acheived with use of pioneering new fabrics.

Profiles deepened to give more control and power centre was raised to make the sail more balanced.

Increased speed in larger sizes. Upper leech tension reduced to free the head up, this also helps lower the power centre in the sail.

Skin tension and shaping were altered to allow the use of a dacron luff panel in all sizes for 2010. this creates a more consistent feel across all sizes.

Technology

The ultimate blend of power and control, the BLADE drives power down, powering the board through tevery turn with absolute precision.

The SEVERNE icon has seen ongoing refinementand progression. Size by size, te power distribution along the span has been finely tuned to a consistant feel. The larger sizes have a lower power zone, with the twist biased towards a more open head section. the smaller sizes have progressively higher power zones with a very even twist pattern. This creates a more uniform feel between each size - a key component of our wave design idealogy.

Durability is another key feature of this sail. The new full X-ply construction features a bombproof Spectra foot panel, an upgraded KS Optic X-ply window and the Aramid Rienforced MetaleX II material.

See pictures for sail measurements.

Neil Greentree - K636 - Owner Quayside Windsurfers / Team QSW Boss - Windsurfing, Kiteboarding, Paddle Boarding, Motorhomes...and keen exotic car owner. says:

I can honestly say since starting to use the Severne Blade I would not want anything else of any make. The feel of the sail is powerful, but the way the sail delivers the power makes you feel stable and secure allowing you to turn on the speed, but when its time to switch the power off and on rapidly the BLADE just feels so usable. It really is the UK sailors allrounder sail.

says:

I had the chance to sail a Blade last month with Neil, and I was immediately impressed with the instant power available to the sailor, but yet it's superbly controlable.
