The Windsurfing Movie II is possibly the most anticipated film release ever in windsurfing. The previous Windsurfing Movie broke new boundaries in what was expected of a windsurfing film, with unbelievably high quality footage, editing and storyline, so a lot was expected of this sequel.
It’s based mainly around Levi Siver and his travels around the world over the past year. It features his friends, Kai Lenny, Mark Angulo, Keith Teboul, Baptiste Gossien, Manu Bouvet and others and the locations he visited, namely Maui (where he lives), the Gorge, California, Tahiti and the Marshal Islands.
The whole movie is awesome, featuring footage from locations that you don't normally get to see on the typical 'PWA event footage' style movies. The action is mind-blowing – Levi totally rips and Kai Lenny is pretty handy as well.
Highlights have got to be the Baptiste Gossien section – injury aside, Gossien was a mad-man and the footage combined with the music in this section is top-notch. The section on the Marshal Islands with Keith Teboul and Manu Bouvet is one for the replay button – again, great music, great action and a location that you probably haven't seen on DVD before.
The final section on Levi is the perfect crescendo to the film. Having avoided competing in Tour events for a while, it’s easy to assume that he isn't pushing so hard, but this footage shows one of the most outstanding action compilations we have ever seen. Breathtaking!
Music
This has surely got to be the best soundtrack to a windsurfing DVD ever! It's definitely on par with the fantastic first Windsurfing Movie – in our opinion, even better…
