Tushingham was the first sailmaker to realise that not all high-wind sailors are wave sailors, and that they were not being best served by the wave sail offerings of the time. Of course, when it's windy the water will never be flat, but the requirements for all-round performance in high winds and chop, are not the same, as those demanded by radical wave riders.

The Storm delivers a blend of balance and power, that combines comfort and control with blistering performance, through the full spectrum of high wind conditions. For 2008 the Storm gets it's biggest upgrade for many years with full 'Airframe' construction together with a major re-working of the flow-shape in the base of the sail.
