Get enjoying Peter Thommen classic build and design but at a price we all can afford. Stable Freeride shapes allow the sailor to progress into new moves such as gybing, blasting and tacking - it does it all!
Free X - The cost effective way into Thommen ownership!
All Thommen windsurf and Paddleboards are genuinely better than the rest. They are made in a Semi Custom China Surf board factory NOT the Cobra factory in Thailand where almost all other windsurf boards are production made. This means higher quality, better finish and more strength.
Be exclusive, demand true individual performance. If you are serious about your sailing then Thommen windsurf boards are for you. With personally designed and tested shapes by Peter Thommen ( the most respected designer in the world), Thommen windsurf boards really are a cut above the rest. Because they only make a limited number of boards, they are not restricted by the constraints of normal production factories. In turn the board can be designed with only the sailor in mind. You don't need to be an expert sailor or living in Maui to enjoy the true performance of these exclusive boards - all you need is a passion for windsurfing!
The FREE X is the 'no frills' way into Thommen 1 ownership. Its design and deck finish is still Bamboo and uses 'RevoXskin', a unique use of Tstringers and a process that means Thommen don't need to use heavy filler coats on its board skins to gain strength. It means Thommen windsurf boards have more strength, a far better 'Glass' finish to its board skin. The board still comes with a Meanline fin but to save cost the FREE X has no board bag, and no CarbonX in its construction.

Ray Page - K1570 - Windsurf Kit Advisor - Windsurfing, country life, classic cars says:
I tend to sail at a more leisurely pace so the board for me had to be the Free X 130. It has a little more length which makes it a lot easier to bear off and get planing with ease. The board guides you through gybes giving you the confidence to push yourself further. I love it....
Neil Greentree - K636 - Team QSW Boss/Advisor - Windsurfing, Kiteboarding, Paddle Boarding, Motorhomes...and keen exotic car owner. says:
I had a chance to have a go on Ray's Free X 130 and found it really simple to sail. With a shape designed to make it super easy to sail, the Free X is for the weekend sailor who wants an easy sailing board that's a little more individual.
