I use a Thommen Maui Wave X83 as my small wave board and love it. I am no expert wave sailor but I do like a wave board to retain its speed in turn allowing me to focus on what I need to do to get the get from the move. It also doubles as my high wind Bump & Jump board, and is excellent for this as it sits lower in the water so doesn't skid on the water and allows me to get the line I need for the jump I want.
